Beats and Treats

After last weeks opening of the After Dark Social Club, i have been inspired to find some different beats and some major floor fillers/ killer beats. The MASTRKRFT track street justice has been remixed by floor killa. Its a great remix the original is just as good so it didn't need a great push to start of with! However its a great tune and shall share my experience with all of you! The other tracks are great tunes that offer some sweet electronic base and rhythm hope you all enjoy! Also have an absolute tune!! by the Crookers make sure you check it out!

JUSTICE @ AFTER DARK?

Well due to the latest news of Justice coming down to Melbourne New Years Day, we have had some leak of information.. or rumor that Justice may be doing a side show at the After Dark Social club! Yet to be authentic and may not be.. but hey who's complaining? A side show from the dynamic duo would be the best thing that has happened to Melbourne for a very long time.  Listening to Genesis or Phantom part 2.. it only paints a picture of blood sweat and tears. So hold your breath and wait for the storm because shit is going to get crazy! After Dark Social Club is located at the Roxanne Parlour in Melbourne's CBD.

DROP THE LIME

This is a post i have been waiting for. One of my favorite artists at the moment would have to be Drop The Lime, he played at last years Stereosonic which blew my mind. His track that has taken the industry by storm 'Set me Free' was a major contribution to this rockstars popularity. I have another of his tracks that i will share with you. If you have any thoughts on this track let me know as i would be interested to see what you think.

LATE NIGHT DATE presents the SWEAT IT OUT PARTY featuring DOUSTER (FRA) at ROXANNE

Bust those winter blues and prepare to Sweat It Out even if it’s still cold outside. You won’t need to sit around the fireplace this winter as Late Night Date follows up it's huge Boys Noize event with the first ever Sweat It Out party in Melbourne with special international guest...

DOUSTER (ZZK, Mad Decent, Sound Pelligrino / France)

Douster is the epitome of the globalized beatmaker: From France but having resided in
Buenos Aires, at 24 years old he draws influences from both locales. Highly connected to
the blogosphere he accesses new sounds daily, with hints of cumbia, reggaeton, UK funky,
kuduro and baile funk dripping off of newer songs and with an obvious reverence for roots
music as a base. Over the past year, Douster has been steadily growing into his own
sound; playful, confident, fresh, with a swagger. The DJ you show up to hear, wherever
the party is, whoever is sharing the bill, because you know you will dance through his set
without pause.

Douster tracks hit hard. He might be young, but, as a producer and DJ, Douster has
serious knowledge of game, especially music. In Douster tracks Timbaland beats are
replaced by Argentine indigenous percussion. Chilean pan flutes pull together a dancehall
hit. Wild samples, raw beats and infinite dance characterize this European DJ who knows
no geographical limits, taking risks and carving out his own fluid borders.

G tronic preview

Here is a little preview of what to see at Trashbags.. G Tronic is carrying on the Daft Punk look by sticking to the robot theme. However he is very different. With a borderline dubstep genre and bleeding electro music. He is able to turn anyones head. Here is a little preview i am in the process of loading more tracks from the iron man himself.

So know doubt everyone loves the duo Daft Punk. A knew remix / mash up which i thought you all may enjoy have come out. Even though the Daft Punk tracks have been remixed by every artist slash producers all over the world they still seem to be coming out. Last night I had the pleasure of listening to Laidback Luke play at Winter sound system in Melbourne, and he even dropped a nice version of Harder Better Faster Stronger which i had never heard. So here it is  hope you enjoy.

Grime and filth

Well everyone is in for a treat a four song combo which entails lots of headaches and morning pain killers. The reason for this is simply because these tracks will not only blow your mind but melt them at the same time. Both can't be good for you! So the disappointing David Guetta track with that annoying vocalist from the Black Eyed Peas (Fergie) has been remixed and made a little more tolerable. The other three tracks are also heavy with the bass lines and filthy with the synths. Hope you enjoy.

WE NO SPEAK AMERICANO?

We No Speak Americano has been a tune that has constantly been played wherever i go.. On the radio in the clubs.. Its everywhere. There is now a remix in which everyone can have a listen to and start to play out for all you disc jockeys. Its a great remix it has a few flaws with the repetitiveness of the track but other than that the cut up samples and cut ups themselves have been worked very nicely.

Cheese?

Djedjotronic has produced a great track called Feta! Its part of the BNR Miami Noize EP. Its much similar to the rest of the wacky tunes that are produced by himself. The other two tracks offer the same kind of wacky mentality, the third track love inside is the odd one out its more of a house tune. Nevertheless enjoy!
